Molding Our Future Selves

Molding Our Future Selves

Stay curious.

Practice humility.

Be brave.

We cannot predict the future — which also means we cannot know our future selves until we get there.

We can, however, take action now to better mold the future self we want to be.

This is not to say we should be stuck in the past, nor be overly concerned with the future, as the present is still the gift that keeps on giving when we’re fully there.  Yet, we should be aware enough that our actions today will greatly impact our future.

Take a moment to remember certain decisions or situations in your past which sound almost absurd to you today.  You might have to go back into your childhood to fetch some of those, like possibly what you wanted to be when you “grow up.”

Continue to be a learner and stay curious.

Don’t think you are better than everyone else.  Keep humble in all you do.

Be bold and brave.  We are called to be strong and courageous.  Our future selves will be better for it.
