“Ithaca has now given you the beautiful voyage.

Without her, you would never have taken the road.

With the great wisdom you have gained on your voyage,  with so much of your own experience now,  you must finally know what Ithaca really means.”— C.P. Cavafy

As we live more life, we hopefully gain more wisdom and perspective.

I believe all of us have a longing for home — a calling to something beyond us, but also within us.

When we discover that Our Creator has been with us all along, our attitude toward the world around us changes.  We stop chasing and start receiving.  We stop hurrying and embrace the pace.  We enjoy the journey and don’t get too caught up in where we’re going and how fast we get there.

I’m sure even those who have lived well into the seventh, eighth, or ninth decades still at times struggle with the hustle of life — we forget to slow down and enjoy the ride.

Remember, home is innate in you — listen to that still small voice of Your Creator and you’ll know you are loved and embraced — home is deep within your soul.
